This position will be based in Mounds View, MN.

The Associate Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the CRM business under the Clinical Portfolio Management and Operational Excellence (PMO ) group. As part of the Insights and Analytics team, the associate Clinical Data Analyst will work closely with our CRM clinical study managers, leadership and cross-functional partners to implement workflow automations, establish data integration and transformation pipelines, and devise compelling analytics and visualizations that enable coordinated planning and reliable execution of clinical studies and supporting initiatives.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Organize and enhance data transformation and integration processes spanning multiple enterprise systems, that support the analytics and reporting needs across our clinical operations Develop tools and automations that support the ease of work and maximize data availability for decision making Support the development of study budget forecasting models and streamline project progress tracking mechanisms Interface with extended Clinical partners, such as Clinical Evidence, Medical Education, and External Research Programs, to identify opportunities to generalize, integrate, or otherwise coordinate reporting and analytics and to disseminate best practices across the organization

Must Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Advanced degree in science, engineering, life sciences, or related medical/scientific field.
  • Project management experience within the healthcare industry (e.g., Clinical, Medical Affairs, Clinical PMO/Data Science, Regulatory Affairs, or R&D)
  • Strong experience with Python, R, and SQL as well as relational databases and data warehouses such as Snowflake or Oracle systems.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (including PowerQuery and VBA).
  • Strong data analysis and reporting experience; data modeling and visualization best practices.
  • Clinical Research experience at Medtronic or within a medical device industry.
  • PMP certification; Project Management Certification (preferably PMI) and/or Green Belt Certification. Expertise in both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
  • Experience in MS Project (or similar scheduling software), project management techniques and tools, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerAutomate, and SharePoint.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$57,600.00 - $86,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
