We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Clinical Specialist to support Medtronic’s innovative technology and the Medtronic Alliance Program to execute the company’s vision of enhancing the lives of patients and their caregivers.

The territory includes Erie and Pittsburgh, PA.

                                                                                                                                       

The purpose of this position is to support product trials, support clinical conversions, and maximize utilization of Medtronic Products within the operating room, supply chain, and operating room administration.

Technical/Clinical Support:

  • Represents Medtronic's Surgical business during surgical procedures to provide troubleshooting and other technical assistance
  • Collaborate with customer service to field customer calls on technical support, product needs, backorders, and substitutions
  • Receives technical inquiries by customers. Researches solutions to questions or problems.
  • Perform periodic upgrades and exchanges to equipment placed in hospitals.

Customer Education Support:

  • Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to Medtronic products
  • One-to-one training sessions. In-service education programs to surgeons and staff
  • Provides training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their personnel.

Sales Support:

  • Assist the sales representative and/or conduct trials and implementations of the product in operating rooms in hospitals and surgery centers. Administrative reports.
  • Provide technical, educational, clinical and sales support to assist the team in Medtronic Products sales and customer service objectives.

This is a field based role that requires 75% travel in region,

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience

Nice to Have

  • Not required but highly recommended to have a strong clinical background, specifically in the Operating Room and/or Labor and Delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, WebEx)
  • Strong drive for results; Action orientated; Strong work ethic and career ambition; Ability to develop and present complex product demonstrations.
  • A valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving record is required.
  • The ability to travel 75% as necessary, which will include overnight and/or weekends, as required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):70,000.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
