Position Summary: 

As a Clinical Specialist, you will work with customer clinical leadership to define and then achieve goals related to the use of the platform in the clinical workflow. In this role, you will be required to maintain communication, provide education, in-service training, troubleshooting, and other related services as necessary to physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other clinical roles that interact with our products. You will also be responsible for increasing the adoption of the software and helping the customer to achieve their goals for integrating products into their clinical workflows in new ways. You will track adoption of the software, and periodically report progress to company and customer leadership. Travel up to 50% may be required. 


  • Key point of contact for clinical customer stakeholders.  

  • Drive and maintain adoption and reference-ability across assigned accounts.    

  • Educate ICU leadership and stakeholders from various roles (MD’s APPs, RN’s, RT’s etc.) on the numerous possible value propositions and use cases of the platform. 

  • Learn and observe the unit’s practices and quality initiatives to align value propositions with their workflows to support improving outcomes. 

  • Develop training plans that align with ICU needs and educational practices and perform virtual and on-site training in multiple formats. 

  • Encourage customers to identify / develop new use cases for the software and corresponding research initiatives if necessary. 

  • Lead clinical implementation at new ICUs, and clinical-facing new release deployments including engaging stakeholders, including: 

  • Understanding the basics of the software installation process. 

  • Leading the clinical component in parallel with the implementation team’s work. 

  • Assist in software testing, validation, and troubleshooting. 

  • Act as an information channel between departments and customers 

  • Assist marketing efforts by collecting success stories that may be included in marketing material, and potentially attending conferences. 

  • Partner with Sales team and Implementation Specialists and feedback on successful use cases, and participation in presentations to prospective customers. 

  • Document key activities and track customer progress, report out to stakeholders as needed.  

  • Understand the regulatory environment and requirements and adhere to internal Quality Management System processes and procedures. 


Implementation Cycle detail: once a customer signs the agreement, the technical implementation begins, taking anywhere from 4 weeks to several months (depending on hospital's pace, resources, priorities, needs, etc.). In parallel, preparation is made for the clinical implementation, and once the software goes live, training is conducted. Thereafter, continuous customer check-ins along with supplemental training (as required, usually from new software updates or new ways the ICU wants to use the software.)


Qualifications 


  • Minimum of 4 years critical care experience required 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 

  • Minimum of 2 years Industry experience in addition to clinical bedside experience required 

  • Experience with ICU practice change required 

  • Strong ability to train and educate, and drive behavior change 

  • Strong public speaking skills 

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships with clinicians 

  • Multiple departments, hospitals, & ICU experience preferred 

  • Software or medical device education experience preferred  

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively train clinicians from various roles on use and value of new technology 

  • Excellent organizational skills 

  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter, energetic, motivated, positive, professional, and self-managed 

  • Strong team-oriented professional with good interpersonal skills who is hands-on with a high energy approach to work 

  • Flexible schedule with the ability to travel up to 50%, with periodic availability off hours to accommodate customer schedules
