The clinical specialist is primarily responsible for providing assessments, education and individual and group counseling for persons with substance use disorders enrolled in MMRS’s residential or outpatient treatment programs. The clinical specialist functions as the primary therapist for the clients in the residential or outpatient programs as a team member with other master level clinicians, as well as the program coordinator. The clinical specialist works closely with the client, other program staff and agency referral sources to create and implement a comprehensive person centered treatment plan and coordinate services.
Duties:
• Conducts education and didactic group sessions.
• Develops and facilitates implementation of person-centered treatment planning and ongoing treatment direction for assigned clients.
• Maintains up-to-date clinical documentation, related correspondence and reports in full compliance with agency, licensing and accreditation standards (i.e. intakes, assessments, clinical summaries, treatment plans, progress notes, case reviews, discharge summaries and continuing care plans).
