CFS has been a fierce advocate for children and families in the midst of social injustices and inequalities. SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Coordinates all aspects of a youth's intake including accepting and responding to referrals, ensuring all consents are signed and all required documents received. Provides assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions according to treatment plan. Utilizes a broad variety of culturally sensitive diagnostic and treatment modalities and techniques appropriately and selectively. Coordinates and implements the youth's treatment plan related to social and independent living skills. Provides family counseling as needed and works with family members to ensure successful transition to the next level of care.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Good verbal and written skill in therapeutic assessment and treatment, interviewing, recording and letter writing. Also able to assess family dynamics, strengths and weaknesses to appropriate match a participant with a potential home . Ability to provide supervision to Clinical Specialists and Life Skills Specialist working with challenging families to improve their parenting skills. Must also support the commitment to preserving a participant's connection with their family of origin. and reunification with biological family. Knowledge of the Department of Health's Child and Adolescent Mental Health' s (CAMHD) Performance Standards and Best Practices.
