CLINICAL SPECIALIST, ONCOLOGY
JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide intensive oncology pharmaceutical care services in collaboration with other health professionals. Promote high quality, evidence-based, cost-effective oncology pharmaceutical care, managing patient drug therapy, provide patient education and perform duties in the Cancer Center and other clinical areas as required and assigned.
Additional responsibilities include pharmacy consults/clinical interventions, interdisciplinary collaboration, integrated support, departmental leadership, and professional mentorship. Participates in multidisciplinary hospital committees and takes leadership role in departmental oncology clinical education and research activities. Cancer therapy/disease community education, professional publication and presentation is strongly encouraged and supported.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
B.S. Pharmacy degree minimum, Pharm.D. preferred
Pharmacist License in the State of Arizona required
EXPERIENCE:
ASHP accredited Pharmacy Residence Program PGY-2 Oncology or Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) – Oncology Certification or equivalent clinical experience in direct oncology patient pharmaceutical care, required.
Previous clinical and academic experience successfully leading pharmacy oncology drug services highly desirable.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE:

B.S. Pharmacy degree minimum, Pharm.D. preferred
Pharmacist License in the State of Arizona required (can obtain after hire)
