7am-3:00pm / Full Time / 40 Hours

 

This is a position in the Cardio Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), the patient population includes cardiac surgery, heart and lung transplant, and mechanical circulatory support.  The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist practices as a clinical expert in specialty practice area(s). In addition to direct patient care activities, this position is responsible for ensuring appropriate medication therapy and clinical outcomes for the institution related to specialty area. Practices as a clinical expert in specialty practice area. Develops and promotes advanced clinical practice based upon recent evidenced based practice. Practices under existing and establishes new collaborative practice agreements to enhance pharmaceutical care. And ensures institution-wide appropriate therapy and institutional outcomes in specialty area.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • ASHP- Accredited Post Graduate Year 1 and 2 Residency or Fellowship or equivalent of 5 years’ experience in the specialty area.
  • Active Georgia Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure with attempt to register for 60 days of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 1 year for all positions with Code Blue coverage responsibility.

 

Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications

  • Relevant Pharmacy Specialty Board certification is preferred.
