Job Summary:
We are seeking a Line Mechanic to join our team in Ayrshire. As a Line Mechanic you will be responsible for ensuring equipment complies with safety regulations by maintaining it in good working order. You will also provide support to production operations staff as needed and participate in continuous improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance on equipment according to schedule or when required.
Conduct inspections of all production line equipment to ensure they are safe and fully functional.
Complete reports and documentation of repairs performed.
Work closely with production operators and other departments to identify issues with equipment and implement solutions.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events and 5S projects.
Assist in training new employees on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and supplies used for repairs.
Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines at all times while on site.
Qualifications:
Experience working within a manufacturing environment preferred but not essential.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate basic hand tools.
Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams desirable but not essential.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Commitment to quality and attention to detail important.
Previous experience using CMMS systems advantageous but not essential.
Highly organized individual capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
