A Day in the Life

At Medtronic, the Mazor Business Development & Clinical Manager manages the achievement of unit and revenue goals for CST's interoperative navigation and robotic solutions in an assigned district. Assists the district and region in achieving overall assigned therapy product sales and marketing objectives by applying their clinical and product expertise. Neuroscience seeks candidates who will meet our customer expectations by striving without reserve for the greatest possible reliability and quality in our products, processes and systems by being accountable, having a voice, and taking action. Performs all duties in compliance with Quality System.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Communicates and reinforces corporate Mission, Surgical Synergy strategy and key initiatives, goals, and activities

  • Partners with sales colleagues to develop and execute plans of sales for within one or more business unit(s) across CST Operating Unit

  • Responsible for team members for completing comprehensive field training initiatives to increase overall navigation and robotics competencies

  • Drives awareness of market and competitive conditions for strategic planning

  • Responsible for identifying and acting upon cross-business, cross-functional opportunities and issues arising with respect to targeted account growth

  • Supports field personnel in providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers

  • Works closely with Clinical Lead, Clinical Management and Regional Sales team to provide customer case and sales support.

  • Identifies and facilitates execution on growth opportunities with Sales and Clinical Support Team.

  • Serves as a technical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution.

  • Continually works to maintain a strong, diverse personnel “bench” of candidates for use in future hiring opportunities

  • Addresses development opportunities through coaching and the execution of specific measurable projects

  • Attend surgical cases, train surgeons and manage the on-going sale of the implant business components

  • Participates in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.

Qualifications

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume:

  • Bachelors degree and minimum of 5 years relevant experience

  • Or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Managerial experience qualification should include direct talent leadership within the past 3 years.

  • Travel, 50% + requirements within district customer base

  • Highly proficient in use of computer, data and analytics tools and developing customer facing presentations

  • Dynamic communicator capable of working in multiple work streams and providing leadership to all appropriate project stakeholders

  • History of implementing and executing business plans as a leader

  • Ability to gain support and communicate within all levels of Medtronic organization

  • Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to develop and present complex business reviews / presentations.

  • Strong track record of operating and leading within complex organizations.

  • Leadership and people management skills

Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) operating unit is redefining cranial and spinal procedures to reduce variability and improve outcomes with the goal of restoring long-term quality of life for more patients. We are the first company to offer an integrated solution that includes artificial intelligence-driven surgical planning, personalized spinal implants, and robotic-assisted surgical delivery to make patient care more customized.

CST is the market leader in spinal implants, robotics, and navigation. Our integrated operating unit is comprised of 4 global businesses, Spine and Biologics, Enabling Technologies, intelligent Data Solutions (iDS) and China Cranial, Spinal, Orthopedics & Technologies.

This role will support our Spinal Surgical Robotics platforms.
