Description:


This position serves as an integrated pharmacy resource within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The pharmacist works closely with the nationally-recognized multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, cost-effective medication- related care for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. Opportunities exist for professional growth relative to clinical, research and educational interests. Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 and PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residency preferred. Board Certification Preferred.


This position exists to provide comprehensive, value based, medication-related care to achieve definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. The incumbent acts in collaboration with healthcare professionals in the shared responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Key job duties may consist of ensuring safety and effectiveness of the medication use process, processing and dispensing medications per order or prescription, medication therapy monitoring, regulatory compliance, maintaining oversight over pharmacist extenders, maintaining the security of medications, and protecting the confidentiality of patient information. Additionally, is competent at providing drug information support for medical staff, ensuring continuity of care, and identifying potential challenges in common situations.


• Requires current Indiana License or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a pharmacist.
• Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 and/or PGY2 pharmacy residency may be required.
