A Day in the Life

This role will be responsible for leading medical education programs for Structural Heart Interventions focused on the utilization of Evolut family devices. In this role you will be a critical part of the Medical and Education team working in direct relation of a specific US area ( out of 5) on training materials, faculty development, program planning and training delivery for Medtronic customers.

Us Med Ed Education Program Management

  • KOL identification, KOL alignment on national & regional launch programs
  • Lead Medical Education program development for new & existing procedure launches focused on product and procedure training.
  • Lead all planning & coordination for all virtual & in-person medical education programs
  • Partner with team on US education to solve US implanter needs.
  • Partner with key stakeholders in the team to create a database & oversee overall data management programs

Faculty Development and Planning

  • Collaborate with the US team to develop & maintain the faculty database
  • Communicate and engage with the field team, district manager, and area directors.
  • Develop an overall strategy for increasing best practices adoption
  • Use your strategic experience to plan KOL usage based on the needs of the business

Calendar & Budget Management

  • Determine training site locations and program dates
  • Engage centers and secure labs to execute educational programs
  • Coordinate the budget expenses

Event Management & Delivery

  • Plan and execute educational programs of varying sizes in partnership with team coordinators
  • Including but not limited to, organization & agenda development, KOL selection & management, simulation equipment & instrument handling, occasionally onsite execution

Additional responsibilities may include the following, as well as other duties that may be assigned.

  • Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives.
  • Maintains communication with customers to ensure the effectiveness of training.
  • May utilize trainers with technical expertise.
  • Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and keep technical information current.
  • Travel requirement: 30-40%

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in cardiovascular area: clinical training, medical education, Structural Heart sales/clinical specialist /Quality or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Structural Heart interventions, ICU, or Cardiac interventions.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Effective instructional design skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude
  • Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$70,400.00 - $105,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
