To support the next stage of growth for our Global Service Organization, we are looking for a Service Solution Engineer to play a critical role in delivering world class service and support to healthcare providers across the New England area. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically curious, solutions focused professional who thrives in complex clinical environments and wants to make a real impact on patient care through reliable, integrated medical technology.

What will you be doing?

  • Acting as a subject matter expert for advanced medical device integrations, supporting the seamless integration of Smith+Nephew systems into hospital IT environments including EHR, PACS, and Digital Operating Rooms
  • Providing escalated technical support for complex integration, configuration, interoperability, and performance issues across hardware and software solutions
  • Partnering cross functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to support installation, configuration, testing, and new product readiness for the Global Service organization
  • Troubleshooting data flow, communication errors, device failures, and configuration conflicts within clinical and IT infrastructures
  • Creating and maintaining high quality documentation, troubleshooting guides, and standardized integration protocols to support consistent service delivery
  • Communicating clearly with stakeholders including Sales, R and D, IT, Clinical teams, Operations, and external vendors to ensure alignment and timely resolution
  • Delivering training and knowledge sharing to internal teams and end users on integrated device best practices
  • Ensuring all service and integration activities comply with regulatory, cybersecurity, and industry standards
  • Identifying opportunities to improve service processes, tools, and integration capabilities to enhance customer experience and efficiency

What will you need to be successful?

  • 3 to 5 years of hands on experience supporting and integrating medical devices within healthcare or clinical environments
  • Strong working knowledge of medical integration standards such as HL7, DICOM, and IHE
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network related issues
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT infrastructure, system configurations, and cybersecurity principles
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Healthcare IT, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • A calm, analytical, and customer focused mindset with the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 10 percent as required

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $77,000- $116,000 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. In addition to base pay, we provide competitive bonus and benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, parental leave, and generous PTO, paid company holidays annually and 8 hours of Volunteer time and a variety of wellness offerings such as EAP.
