The Area Clinical Specialist role offers a unique opportunity to spearhead the clinical integration and adoption of truly novel technology. As an Area Clinical Specialist, you will be the clinical authority and trusted partner for our most critical strategic accounts, driving the successful launch and sustained growth of the HyperVue™ Intravascular Imaging System and our recently FDA-cleared X1-FFR™ angio-derived FFR solution. You'll empower clinicians, influence key opinion leaders, and contribute directly to the commercial success of a company that is poised to shape the future of coronary care.


ROLE OVERVIEW

DRIVE DEMAND FOR SPECTRAWAVE PRODUCTS

  • Lead and execute new strategic hospital and integrated delivery network (IDN) customer product launches.
  • Provide expert, real-time case support and deliver advanced clinical education to convert successful evaluations into permanent agreements with independent utilization.
  • Broaden the use of existing users of our technology to achieve more cases per month.
  • Partners with sales team to bring on new users in existing accounts, whether they are currently using competitive technology or not utilizing intravascular imaging.

SERVE AS A FIELD TRAINER

  • Reinforce new hire training through field rides and remote engagement.
  • Assess clinical and procedural knowledge of field team to ensure case support readiness.
  • Assist educating the field team on new products and initiatives.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for the field team.

PROVIDE CLINICAL INPUT AND CUSTOMER FEEDBACK TO THE FIELD SALES AND MARKETING TEAMS

  • Support the evaluation of new products and provide clinical feedback to marketing and sales.
  • Provides primary clinical training and education to customers. Assists in disseminating technical product information to customers. Assists in the development and execution of regional hospital staff training courses.
  • Provides ongoing support for company-sponsored clinical/marketing trials and registries.


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong and proven background working directly with coronary OCT and/or IVUS.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 80% across the area or nationally) to support launches, customer engagements, and field team development

Desired Qualifications

  • 5 – 10 years of experience and license as a Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist (CRT), Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), or Registered Nurse (RN) or CVIS, RCIS
  • Proven track record of successful participation in or leadership of national or large-scale regional product launches for novel medical devices or technologies to include:
  1. Creating and executing customer account launch strategies
  2. Working with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, R&D, regulatory, training)
  3. Identifying key stakeholders and decision-makers within large organizations
  4. Understanding complex purchasing processes
  5. Experience managing and developing relationships with key strategic accounts (large hospital systems, integrated delivery networks, national reference labs, etc.)
  • Involvement in a role that combines clinical expertise with sales support, particularly for capital equipment that requires significant training and ongoing clinical integration
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
