Job Title: Clinical Specialist – Medical Device
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Clinical Specialist to support our implantable medical device portfolio. This individual will serve as the technical and clinical expert in the operating room (OR), supporting surgeons, staff, and sales representatives during procedures. The role is highly interactive, requiring a strong background in OR protocols, direct case support, and the ability to build trust with healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and case coverage for implant procedures in the OR and clinical settings.
Educate and train surgeons, nurses, and staff on device use, surgical techniques, and best practices.
Partner with sales representatives to drive product adoption and ensure successful outcomes for patients.
Troubleshoot and problem-solve in real-time during surgical cases.
Support new product launches by facilitating in-services, workshops, and ongoing education programs.
Maintain accurate case reporting and compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.
Serve as a trusted clinical advisor to healthcare professionals within assigned accounts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Nursing, Allied Health, Life Sciences, or related).
Minimum 2+ years of experience in the operating room (as RN, Surgical Tech, Clinical Specialist, or similar).
Prior exposure to implants, orthopedics, spine, cardiovascular, or related device categories strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of surgical protocols, sterile technique, and OR workflow.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to travel within assigned territory; may include some evening or weekend cases.
