As a non-profit organization, our dedicated team of professionals, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff, works to diagnose and treat all types of mental illness.
As a Clinical Specialist at Cumberland County Guidance Center, you will immerse yourself in a collaborative environment, participating in daily team meetings and case reviews while delivering individual and group counseling through evidence-based approaches. Your expertise will be essential in providing emergency mental health assessments and consulting with medical staff on client medication needs. Youβll take an active role in educating and supporting clientsβ families and support systems, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
Regular assessment of client progress, along with coordination with community providers and facilitating transportation services, will empower clients on their journey toward independence. Additionally, you'll share in the on-call rotation with PACT team members and engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, making a meaningful impact in the lives of those you serve.
To excel as a Clinical Specialist at Cumberland County Guidance Center, you will need a Master's degree from an accredited institution in a human services discipline such as social work or psychology, along with a minimum of two years of post-bachelor's experience providing mental health services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Success in this role hinges on your comprehensive knowledge of community resources and agencies, allowing you to navigate and connect clients with essential support systems. A valid automobile driver's license that meets agency standards is necessary, alongside a commitment to maintaining a flexible 40-hour work schedule to meet client needs.
