Medtronic is seeking a Global Product Manager to lead the strategy, launch, training, and execution of new products within our spine cervical portfolio. This pivotal role will serve as the marketing subject matter expert for cervical fusion and arthroplasty procedures, directly impacting the success of Medtronic Spine—a business segment representing most spinal procedures.
As a Global Product Manager, you will drive best-in-class solutions for patients worldwide, collaborating with world-renowned spine surgeons, product development engineers, and cross-functional teams. You will oversee all aspects of product management, from development through commercialization, ensuring comprehensive solutions across preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative stages.
You will work closely with regional marketers, R&D, Regulatory, Clinical, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other functional partners to identify unmet needs, define product specifications, and deliver value-added program solutions globally. This role offers opportunities for international collaboration, travel, and cultural engagement to address portfolio gaps and solve challenges for patients and surgeons.
Additionally, you will support the commercialization of both current and future anterior and posterior cervical products, partnering with sales and medical education to drive customer adoption. Creativity and strong brand messaging will be key as you advance the next generation of spinal technologies.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Lead voice-of-customer investigations to inform strategy for next-generation procedural solutions in spine
Develop business cases, assess project feasibility, and execute commercialization strategies
Conduct market, sales, and financial analyses, including health economic value assessments
Collaborate with finance, R&D, and international marketers to design and execute market/product research plans
Identify unmet needs, develop markets, define product claims, create training programs, and execute country-specific launch plans
Support global society trade shows and local customer programs
Perform competitive and big-picture analyses of products, procedures, threats, and opportunities
Gain technical expertise in procedures and therapies, including anatomy, image guidance, robotics, and AI platforms
Create marketing deliverables (materials, set configurations, inventory management, pricing, etc.) as outlined by Spine’s global commercialization process
Develop and enhance creative brand messaging and collateral
Execute customer-facing programs for complex cervical spine pathologies
Serve as technical advisor, demonstrating products and troubleshooting issues
Lead teams in labs and voice-of-customer events
Travel up to 25%–30%
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
Experience in the orthopedic space, specifically spine
Marketing organization experience
Operating room exposure
Experience leading cadaver labs or groups, providing direction and actionable feedback
Spine clinical experience, preferably in the cervical space
Understanding of material science and its interaction with human anatomy
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Proven effectiveness in multidisciplinary teams and strong relationship-building skills

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
