Position Summary:

An Imaging Education Specialist is responsible for supporting all Imaging, Navigation, Robotics (INR) products and affiliated services to hospitals within their aligned territory, region, or coast. In addition, the Imaging Education Specialist will support internal and external INR labs. This requires knowledge of the operating room and working within a team to support selling and training activities. This person must be a self-starter and have the ability to create value within the role for both the customer and organization. Additionally, the imaging education concentration the individual must have a current up to date radiology certification and a background in training others in the operating room on such equipment. Finally, this individual will need to be a true collaborator with the ability to build meaningful relationships with both the capital and implant sales teams along with hospital staff, current clinical team and the INR corporate team. The Imaging Specialist will embody one team, one mission with the Imaging concentration certified to lead all aspects of a case.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop in depth technical knowledge of Imaging, Navigation, Robotics products as well as applicable procedures, anatomy, and implant products

  • Assist in creating educational text, workflows, and training modules

  • Provide educational support for new surgeons, OR staff and administrators during INR installs and ongoing customer needs

  • Provide comprehensive hands-on training to potential and existing customers through cadaver, bio-skill labs, and on-site trainings

  • Attend cases and educate the field on preparation patients for radiologic procedures. Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during imaging

  • Provide ongoing INR education to Globus peers both in-house and external prior to capital installation and ongoing programs

  • Educate on: Operations of Globus radiologic equipment to produce images of the body, Position of Globus radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination, Acquiring x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety, Use of radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety with Globus radiologic equipment, and Troubleshooting of Globus radiologic equipment

  • Help promote a successful team culture centered on excellence, results, integrity, and trust both internal and external

  • Cultivate surgeon support and generate market awareness around INR products and affiliated services

  • Support the installation process ensuring consistent utilization within the initial 90 days

  • Serve as a back-up for clinical team members as needed

  • Collaborate with implant team to identify both capital and implant targets to grow the overall Globus business

  • Assist with the development of key opinion leader surgeons

  • Augment sales activities of capital reps and support functions outlined by Directors and VPs

  • Manage expenses within budget

  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies

  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • Radiology background with current certifications

  • Minimum 4 years clinical support or relevant experience in the healthcare industry, spine experience is a plus

  • History exceeding, not meeting expectations

  • Knowledge of the operating room environment

  • Ability to collaborate and influence

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Success in supporting new and disruptive technologies in a market is a plus

  • Ability to travel up to 85%
