A Day in the Life

In this exciting role as a Principal PACE Portfolio Specialist, your primary responsibility is working collaboratively to create clinical educational content that supports HCP and patient training and education. The Principal PACE Portfolio Specialist is a downstream clinical expert on all products within the Medtronic Portfolio including AID, CGM, smart insulin pens, consumables and CareLink™.

Location: Remote within the United States (additional consideration given to individuals able to commute into our Northridge, CA facility).

Travel up to 20%, including weekends.


A Day in the Life

The Principal PACE Portfolio Specialist will collaborate closely with our medical directors, as well as clinical experts that are upstream, and members of the marketing and commercial enablement teams. This role will help support the creation and development of training for people with diabetes as well as health care providers. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively and cross functionally to deliver world class content for clinical training and development.

Primary responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Influences the design of education concepts, processes and standards that support the portfolio and align to business needs.

  • Works with upstream global clinicians to design educational strategies and execution of educational assets utilized in human factors testing.

  • Creates digital learning content and collaborates with graphic designers and vendors to bring easy to understand and effective training modules to life.

  • Applies adult learning principles and looks for ways to automate and scale simplified learning approaches.

  • Provides clinical and educational guidance and training to internal partners as needed.

  • Participates in conventions, forums, symposia educational content and scientific education programming meetings for promoting product and procedural awareness.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor of Science required with a minimum of 7+ years of clinical training and education experience in relevant healthcare industry.

OR

Advanced degree of Science required with a minimum of 5+ years of clinical training and education experience in relevant healthcare industry.

Nice to Have

  • RN/RD/PhD and or Master's degree in related medical/scientific field.

  • Experience working with digital learning platforms and learning management systems.

  • Experience in Diabetes therapies/products at Medtronic

    • Expertise in stand-alone CGM and smart insulin pen therapies

    • Expertise in MDT pump, sensor management and CareLink report interpretation

  • Experience working with healthcare professionals (HCPs)

  • Experience presenting to customer audiences at local, regional, or national events.

  • CDCES – Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist

  • Excellent project management and organization skills.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$104,800.00 - $157,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
