RVNAhealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as our QAPI Specialist, leading quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives for our certified home health agency in compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements.
This role focuses on clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and documentation excellence. The Specialist partners with the Director of QAPI and Home Health leadership to monitor performance metrics, ensure survey readiness, and drive continuous improvement across the service line.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the Annual QAPI Plan
- Monitor and analyze KPIs including OASIS data, infection control logs, patient outcomes, and complaints
- Conduct clinical chart audits to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and survey-ready
- Ensure compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, State of CT licensure requirements, and Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) standards
- Support ADRs, denials, and appeals processes
- Lead quarterly QAPI meetings and performance improvement initiatives
- Provide staff education on documentation standards, regulatory updates, and quality initiatives
- Support infection control and compliance monitoring workflows
Qualifications
- BSN required (MSN preferred)
- Active Connecticut RN license required
- 2-3 years of Home Health experience required
- Experience in quality assurance, compliance, or regulatory oversight preferred
- OASIS certification required
- Knowledge of ICD-10, PDGM, and Value-Based Purchasing
- Strong analytical, auditing, and communication skills

Compensation:
Th pay range for this position is $92,000 to $96,000 annually and represents RVNAhealth's commitment to pay transparency and is a reasonable estimate of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience, and expertise related to the qualifications.
