Structural Heart Business Mission:
Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
We aim to lead the markets we serve by requiring the solutions we offer customers provide an improved benefit/risk profile as compared to existing standards of care; a performance threshold that by definition, guides and ensures the productive output of our engineering, business development, and clinical research efforts result in outcomes that advance the standard of care.
The Imaging Services Senior Manager develops and leads the imaging strategy and infrastructure for the US Structural Heart franchise, with primary focus on TAVI. This role sits within the Training organization and partners closely with Commercial, Clinical, Marketing, Quality, R&D, and Field teams to support patient outcomes, clinical excellence, and business objectives.
This remote leadership role will build and lead a scalable imaging services team, oversee imaging training and curriculum for field teams and customers, and provide global CT imaging support for TAVI clinical trials. As imaging needs expand across Structural Heart, this role serves as the imaging strategist driving consistency, quality, and innovation.
What You’ll Work On
Leadership & Program Management
- Serve as the principal imaging subject matter leader across the TAVI organization
- Define imaging strategy, infrastructure, and scalable processes for commercial and clinical programs
- Oversee development of imaging curriculum, training content, and education for field teams and customers
- Lead imaging quality reviews, identify trends, and implement corrective training plans
- Consult on imaging software acquisition, image transfer processes, and patient assessment tools
Commercial & Clinical CT Programs
- Build and manage scalable CT training, field support, and quality control programs
- Develop and oversee imaging competency, authorization, and continuing education initiatives
- Lead global CT imaging support for TAVI clinical trials, including patient selection support as needed
Team Leadership
- Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop the Imaging Specialist Team
- Provide performance management, career development, and leadership oversight
Clinical Expertise
- Act as imaging SME across CT, echo, and angiography, with mastery of TAVR CT sizing software (e.g., 3Mensio)
- Provide high-quality patient assessments, valve sizing, and executive summaries
- Demonstrate expert understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, access strategies, risk indications, and guideline recommendations
- Educate field teams and customers on imaging best practices, software use, and image transfer
- Maintain deep knowledge of Abbott and competitive Structural Heart imaging approaches and sizing techniques
Quality, R&D & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Quality on imaging-related reporting, audits, CAPA activities, and field competency validation
- Review imaging-related product experience reports and guide corrective actions
- Support complex case planning (e.g., valve-in-valve, bicuspid, alternative access)
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Marketing to integrate imaging considerations into product development and innovation
Customer & Business Support
- Build strong relationships with customers, valve clinics, and Heart Teams
- Support professional education programs, congresses, and scientific meetings
- Manage imaging budget, forecasting, and expense approvals
- Ensure compliance with Abbott policies, AdvaMed, and ethical standards

Required Qualifications
- 4-year bachelor’s degree
- Radiography Technologist (R)(CT)(ARRT) preferred with 5+ years of related imaging experience
- People leadership experience of 5+ years
- TAVR preferred experience
- Ability to travel 50%
- Ability to drive a car with clean driving record and active vehicle insurance
- Ability to work remote and operate a PC proficiently
