A Day in the Life

The Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Strategic Learning Solutions team, a part of Global CRM Medical Education, is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual with a passion for learning to join our team! Our highly talented team leads the creation and implementation of product training solutions to support the safe and effective use of Medtronic’s products and therapies in the global marketplace.

In this role you will work closely with key stakeholders including our marketing partners, engineering teams, field sales and service organizations, and healthcare professionals to gather learning objectives and requirements to create innovative learning solutions that meet the needs of our business and customers. You will partner with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders to understand business learning needs and design a comprehensive education solution for field and customer product training. You will lead and manage the creation of high-quality training materials such as elearning courses, presentations, tip-cards, videos, and other educational resources to support our learning solutions while following our standard processes and policies. You will partner closely with our marketing partners and service organization to deploy and implement various learning programs to enable the field to deliver customer training. As a training and education specialist, you will also manage a portion of our portfolio of continuing education, ensuring that our customers can get the right information when they need it. This exciting and fast-paced position will allow you to apply your technical expertise and past experiences to create meaningful solutions to help our employees and customers contribute to exceptional patient care around the globe.

A Day in the Life:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of our product training programs and strategies on Medtronic CRM products, therapies, and procedures with a focus on the patient care solutions portfolio.
  • Create and lead product education strategy from needs analysis through implementation and evaluation. Manage all project phases and regularly communicate the status of activities to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop compliant high-quality field and customer training materials including elearning courses, presentations, videos, and other educational materials.
  • Partner with a wide range of cross-functional partners and stakeholders to design, development, and implement a wide range of learning solutions.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed, project deadlines are met, and that all stakeholders have been engaged throughout the project.
  • Work cross-functionally to seek out diverse perspectives and viewpoints from various departments to create inclusive learning solutions.
  • Navigate ambiguous problems and conflicting priorities to create learning solutions that achieve learning and performance goals to support the business and broader organization.
  • Engage and manage vendors and contractors to execute the tactical logistics to create training content on time and within budget.

Must Have (minimum requirements):

  • Prior experience in the Cardiac Rhythm Management industry
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of work experience involving technical training and education in any of the following areas: hospital/clinical, sales/sales support, or engineering (2 years with Advanced Degree)

Nice To Have:

  • Experience working with CRM customers and an understanding of their remote monitoring educational needs
  • Instructional design experience
  • Experience working on multiple, simultaneous projects that require both strategic thinking and high-speed tactical execution
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and learning principles
  • Knowledge of a variety of instructional strategies including instructor-led, eLearning, and virtual instructor-led training

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$84,800.00 - $127,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
